Music for a clip in the film “Peeking”
The course was made by JP Dussan and Alex Wakim through www.Domestika.org
This music was only used for educational purposes. I didn’t participate in the making of this film.
I completed my first project for a course, where I composed music for a clip of the movie called “Peeking”.I started out with a wonder of how the Main Character felt in scenes 1 and 2. I noticed there was a connection between the Main Character's practice for a call and scene 2's subtext. You could feel his connection to the interview.
When creating the melody, I wanted to connect the scenes by using an identical rhythm and melody. I also took a lighter and more heartfelt approach to the chord progression as I believe when the main storyline is the connection with a parent, although, it is a storyline with broken relationships, it is still about the relationship with a parent. So, I chose this.
The sounds I used came mainly from Spitfire Audio's "Orig!nals" sound libraries. Long Flautando and Pizzicato from the Intimate Strings, Piano from Felt Piano, and a native VST Logic plugin RetroSyn.
For the reverb, I used Blackhole and the "Dreamscaper".
Please watch the revised version of my project here. I changed the feel of the chord progression, giving it a more dark theme, whilst still maintaining the overall feeling of the mood.
